Israeli women soldiers strip off for tourism

The Israeli consulate in New York came up with this bright idea to boost Israel's image with American men. Charming. Via the Guardian, Feministing and the BBC.

Interestingly, apparently the reason they came up with the campaign is that the average US male aged 25 - 35 has 'no strong feelings either way' about Israel. So the Maxim campaign was seen as a useful toe in the door to influence people who will be voting and will be politically active (eek) for at least three or four decades to come.

And obviously you'll be politically well-disposed to countries where the chicks are hot and have guns.
